December Daily Update / December Daily Mise à jour

Hello. First I wanted to point out that several people wished the blog was also in French. Their wish is now granted  ;) From now on, you'll be able to choose to read the blog both in English and/or in French.

Bonjour.

 Hope you enjoyed the holidays so far. Here's a little update regarding DD. I managed to catch up pretty well this year. I'm currently up to day 27. Yay me! See for yourselves.

J'espère que vous avez bien profité des vacances. Voici une petite mise à jour concernant December Daily. J'ai plutôt bien réussi à ne pas accumuler de retard cette année. J'en suis aujourd'hui au 27 décembre. Hourra ! Voyez par vous-mêmes.

Hope you enjoyed what you saw. If you have any questions about the techniques or supplies I used, please ask (in English or in French).  ^_^

J'espère que ça vous a plu. Si vous avez des questions concernant les techniques ou le matériel que j'ai utilisés, n'hésitez pas à me demander (en français ou en anglais). ^_^

Workspace Wednesday

Here we are again. For today's peek, I wanted to show you this little box I made to store my 6x6 paper pads.
It's really simple but I like the neutral kraft colour and the little touches of blue, yellow and pink.
Here's the box from another angle:

You may wonder: "what are these "things" sticking out?" I know I would if didn't know what they were.
Here's the explanation: I love to use 6x6 paper pads, they're really handy and perfect for Project Life (you get a perfect sized card with only one cut for a 4x6 or two for a 3x4. So I use them a lot, but I always had some pieces I cut that ended up loose.
I didn't know where to store them:
*appart from the pad -I forgot I had them and didn't use them;
*inside the pad - they'd fall down every time I reached out for the pad.

It was a little -very- frustrating. Until one day, I realised I had these little enveloppes -like for ever- and didn't use them. I decided to assign one enveloppe to each paper pad to keep those little pieces of precious paper.
I know it's not revolutionary, it's rather simple actually, but so efficient!

Lucky Charm / Dear Lizzy

Hope you enjoyed this post about paper storage. If you have any questions, please ask. ^_^

December Daily Day 7

I decided to show you one or two cards at a time, so I don't have to wait to finish a whole page to share it with you. So here's day 7:

 I just got the Silhouette Portrait that day, and it is AMAZING! You can do so many things with it. And there are tons of cut files you can buy online - love the ones from 2peas of course.
Where are you on your December Daily?

December Daily - Process

It's the second year I try to commit to December Daily. I tried last year to do a mini album, aside from my PL, but I failed. I couldn't stick to it. So, this year I decided to try again. But my plan was a little different: I chose to do my DD inside my regular PL album. Along the year, I usually use a page (not a double page like many others do) to document a week. Except, for my DD, I decided to do a little more, cause you know, I wanted it to be special, but still keep it simple. So, I decided to do at least one-something a day : either one photo, or just one card, a 3x4 or a 4x6, just something on each day.

And I must say it's going pretty good so far. Yay me! And, to help me keep it simple, I chose to use (mostly) only one collection of papers/embellishments. However, I didn't want it to be to christmasy, if that means something... It does to me. So I didn't choose a Christmas collection. I thought the Finnley collection from Glitz Design was perfect for my December memories.

Here's what the first 6 days look like:

And here are some details:

If your have any question, about the supplies I used, or anything else, feel free to ask.  ; )
See you next time.

Wokspace Wednesday

I love when people share a peek of their creative spaces : ) That's why I was so excited when Marcy Penner said she would share a glimpse of her creative space every Wednesday! So, joining her, here's a peek at mine today, working on my December Daily.

Introduction & Ferrero Rocher

Hello, my name is Camille. I've been wanting to start a blog for quite some time now, but I never really did. Until today. I love to create stuff, I love textures of papers, colors, etc... so naturally I'm addicted to scrapbboking, and especially Project Life. The brands I'm in love with are American Crafts, Kesi'art and Studio Calico. Oh and I'm french by the way. But I love English (can you tell?).
I always love to visit blogs and see what people create, again espacially regarding PL, and also scrap storage and organization. So, I thought, why not do it myself for other people to see? I love when people give tips about scrapbooking, so for this first post, I thought I'll give you one. It's something I tried a couple of weeks ago.

Do you love these?
If, like me, you love these because they taste so good, you will also soon love these as a scrapbooker.
Here is a example of what you can get when you eat some Ferrero Rocher :

Neat, right? And so perfect for Christmas time and why not include this in your December Daily?
Here are the steps to follow :
First, gently open this delicious chocolate (careful, there's glue under it) and eat it  :)
Then try to flatten the paper (be really careful not to tear it appart) ;
Put it into your favorite embossing folder and run it through your Big Shot for example ;
That's it!
If it's not enough for you : you can also use the box it came in, to store your stamps, dies or other things.
I find it really cool (and cheap).
But don't eat to much of them though (it's tempting), ask family and friends to save them for you.
That's it for today. Hope you enjoyed this post.
Bye.
