Hi guys! How are you? And how's the beginning of this year going for you so far? Mine, for the time being is: brush painting, brush painting, brush painting... : ) I just love it! Have you given it a try yet? Kal Barteski is just such a wonderful source of inspiration!  So, I thought this was appropriate for my first PL week:

Salut ! Comment allez-vous ? Et comment se passe le début de cette nouvelle année pour vous ? Pour moi, pour l'instant, c'est : peinture, peinture, peinture... : ) J'adore ! Est-ce que vous avez déjà fait un essai ? Kal Barteski est une source d'inspiration merveilleuse ! J'ai donc pensé ce ceci était approprié pour ma première semaine de PL :

Here's my process:

1 - I used my paint brush with black ink, and just painted the letters on white regular paper.

2 - I scanned it and uploaded it into my computer.

3 - I adjusted the contrast in Picasa (so the text would pop out really well).

4- I chose a digital paper I bought from AC Digitals (this one is from the Midnight Edition Core Kit *my favorite*).

5 - I printed the paper on white cardstock.

6 - I ran the printed paper again in my printer and printed the text over it.

Voilà comment j'ai procédé :

1 - J'ai utilisé mon pinceau avec de l'encre noire, et j'ai peint les lettres sur du papier blanc classique.

2 - J'ai scanné la page et je l'ai enregistrée dans mon ordinateur.

3 - J'ai ajusté le contraste dans Picasa (pour que le texte ressorte bien).

4 - J'ai choisi un papier digital que j'ai acheté sur AC Digitals (celui-ci fait partie du Kit Midnight Edition *mon préféré*).

5 -  J'ai imprimé le papier sur du papier cartonné.

6 - J'ai repassé ce papier dans l'imprimante et imprimé le texte par-dessus.

Of course, if you are totally confortable with your brush painting, you can paint directly on the printed paper of your choice and save you all the trouble! *laugh* But, I'm not (yet). So, there's a little tip to do something cool without having to waste all your stash of pretty papers  ;)

Bien sûr, si vous êtes à l'aise avec l'écriture au pinceau, vous pouvez peindre directement sur le papier imprimé de votre choix et vous éviter tout ça ! *rire* Mais ce n'est pas mon cas (pour l'instant). Donc, voilà une petite astuce pour réaliser quelque chose de cool sans avoir à gaspiller tout votre stock de beaux papiers imprimés  ; )
